Tic-Tac-Toe ProjectThis tic-tac-toe (noughts and crosses) activity does not add the naughts and crosses to the board. It is designed to make the children playing with it use the mouse (or board pen) to produce the symbol in place and to look for patterns. It simply gives a nice background read for play and the ability to 'wipe clean' with the push of a button - making the board ready for the next game. You need to make graphics for your board before you start. These can be made in any graphics package or images can be taken from the web. I created a basic criss-cross pattern, my logo, a title and a graphic that is to become the cursor (holding a pen-marker). You then need to prepare a basic 'writing board' with an 'eraser' button. See this tutorial for details.
To complete your game board as I have done, you need to make a customised cursor. This step is optional - but I think it makes it more fun to use! See here for how to do this. Your 'tic-tac-toe' drawing board should now be complete!
The design can be adapted to whatever theme you like. Halloween... Fireworks (Diwali, New Year, 4th July, Bonfire Night...)
